How to Integrate a Casino API — Step-by-Step in 2026
Aug 1, 2026 · 11 min read
Integrating a casino API is straightforward when you break it into phases. This tutorial walks through the entire flow from sandbox credentials to first real-money round.
Step 1: Get sandbox access
Sign up with your casino API provider and request sandbox credentials. You will receive an API key, a base URL, and wallet callback documentation. Store the key in a secret manager, never in client code.
Step 2: Map your wallet endpoints
The provider needs four endpoints: debit, credit, rollback, and balance. Each must be idempotent and return JSON with the updated balance. Use transaction IDs to reject duplicates.
Step 3: Launch a game session
Call the provider's /game/launch endpoint with player ID, currency, game ID, and language. The response contains a secure URL. Render it in an iframe or redirect the player.
Step 4: Handle callbacks
- Verify the callback signature using the provider's secret
- Apply the transaction atomically to the player balance
- Return the new balance and a 200 status
- Log every callback for reconciliation
Step 5: Build the lobby
Fetch the game catalog, cache provider metadata, and add filters by provider, category, RTP, and volatility. A fast lobby improves player retention.
Step 6: UAT and go-live
Test win/loss flows, insufficient-funds errors, disconnections, and rollback timing. Run a 24-hour soak test in sandbox, then enable production credentials with a small soft-launch audience.
